The Fudo Myo-O statue is very small and kept in a small shrine in the town hall.

. kitsune densetsu 狐と伝説 fox legends .
About 60 years ago. there lived an old fox couple in the deep trench between
大音寺 the Temple Daion-Ji and 大光寺 the Temple Daiko-Ji in 今籠町 Imakago town.
The foxes were quite beneficial and protected the temple surroundings at night,
using wooden clappers as was the custom in the Edo period.
Sometimes it sounded like hitting the roof tiles.
Sometimes it sounded like hitting bamboo pipes.

. tsumayooji 爪楊枝　つまようじ Tsumajoji, a toothpick .
Once upon a time, 日蓮 Saint Nichiren came to 大光寺 the Temple Daiko-Ji in Iwatsuki city.
There he used a toothpick and then stuck it into the ground.
A yanagi 柳 willow tree begun to sprout and became a large tree at the shore of the pond.

A woman had become very jealous and changed into 蛇体 a serpent.
Saint Shinran held a ritual for her and saved her.
