The main statue is Dainichi Nyorai 大日如来.
The Kannon statue was made by Gyoki Bosatsu.
The main item of worship is a scroll of 不動明王 Fudo Myo-O.
It was given with a letter by 鳥羽院 Emperor Gotoba
and has a signiture of 弘法大師 Kobo Daishi.
In front of the Kannon Hall is a stone marker.

The date of the founding is not clear.
During the Nara period (710 - 794) 行基菩薩 Saint Gyoki Bosatsu passed here
on his pilgrimage through Japan and build a Kannon Hall.
The temple later became abandoned.
Around 1550, the local lord 笠原越前守信爲 Kasahara Nobutane (? - 1557) had it rebuilt.
In 1652, 法印義印 Priest Giin had it revived again, so he is now seen as the founder.
The Edo government supported the tempel and gave it more land.
