Shookanji 正観寺 Shokan-Ji, Kawashima
補蛇洛山 Fudarakuzan / 補陀山 Fudazan (Hodazan), 　正観寺 Shokanji

横浜市保土ケ谷区東川島町45-5 / Yokohama, Hodogaya, Higashi-Kawashima

The main statue is 聖観世音菩薩 Sho Kannon Bosatsu.

The temple has been built in 1636 on request of 中田藤左衞門 Nakada Fujisaemon,
in memory of his father 加賀守菩提 Kaga no Kami, who died in 1594.
The Kannon statue was the personal protector statue of Kaga no Kami.
In 1923 during the Great Kanto Earthquake the temple burned down.

nedoshi 子年 （ねずみどし） refers to the year of the rat, 鼠 nezumi.

Watarase ishi 渡良瀬石 Stone at the Watarase valley
If someone touches the special Watarase Ishi Stone in the compound of 正観寺 the Temple Shokan-Ji,
the whole village will begin to tremble.
