The temple was founded in 1677 by Priest 法印快重 Kaie.
A stone marker with the name of 法印慈観 Priest Jigan (1334 - 1419) is in the compound.
In 薬師堂 the Yakushi Do Hall is a large statue of Yakushi Nyorai, but not shown to the public.
