名張市美旗中村1581 / Nabari city, Mikata, Nakamura
The main statue is 大日如来 Dainichi Nyorai.
- Chant of the temple
おん あびらうんけん ばざら だとばん
The temple was founded in 1571 by 慶意上人 Saint Kei-I.
In 1581, it burned down during a local war.
In 1810, it was restored by 亮演上人 Saint Ryoen.
Other statues in new halls are
薬師如来 Yakushi Nyorai, 阿弥陀如来座像 a seated Amida Nyorai, 如意輪観音 Nyoirin Kannon,
地蔵菩薩 Jizo Bosatsu and 弘法大師 Kobo Daishi.
The statue of Yakushi Nyorai used to be in the Temple 遍照寺 Hensho-Ji
and was moved to Daifuju-Ji, when Hensho-Ji burned down.
In the compound is a small hall for 石薬師如来 a stone statue of Yakushi Nyorai.
In 1997 a new 護摩堂 Goma Do hall for fire rituals was built.

The statue of Yakushi Nyorai is a large wooden statue which was washed to the shore
near 観音堂 the Kannon Hall at 高爪山 Mount Takatsume.
Every year on June 18 there is a festival.
On the night before the festival there is 龍灯 a "Dragon Lantern" showing in the large 杉の木 cedar tree.

. kotengu 小天狗 minor Tengu, crow-like goblin .
A small Tengu had erected 上野市愛宕神社 the Shrine Atago Jinja in Ueno.
In the compound was 大福寺 the Temple Daifuku-Ji.
A Kotengu 小天狗 Small Tengu came here to ask the priests about many things.
