Koganei Migawari Fudo 黄金身代わり不動尊
清池山 Seichizan 医王寺 Io-Ji


太田市新田小金井町982 / Gunma, Ota city, Nitta Koganai town / Koganei

The temple was built in 1645 by priest 良伝 Ryoden.
The main building was lost in a fire in 1875 and all the records were lost.
The hall was rebuilt in 1877 and repaired in 2010.
The main statue is 薬師如来 Yakushi Nyorai.

The bronze statue of Fudo Myo-O 青銅造不動明王立像 if an important cultural property of Ota city.
It is 1,7 m high and kept in 不動堂 the Fudo Hall of the temple as a hibutsu 秘仏 secret statue.
It stands to the right side of Kannon Bosatsu.

In the Kannon Hall is a statue of 如意輪観音 Nyoirin Kannon venerated.
This is called 小金井観音 the Koganai Kannon and is Nr. 21 on
東上州三十三観音霊場 the Pilgrimage to 33 Kannon Temples in East Joshu.
